Peter Hurwitz
Principal
Mr. Hurwitz leads the firm’s efforts in media and entertainment opportunities, and participates more broadly in the firm’s restructuring, distressed investing and special credit opportunities businesses. As a firm principal, he shares with Matthew Dundon in the general management of the firm. He joined the firm after long a career as a senior business and legal executive in the entertainment industry. He holds a JD from Georgetown Law Center and a BA from Middlebury College.

Victor Baev
Managing Director
Victor is a longtime mortgage-backed securities and real estate investment expert. He leads and co-leads MBS and real estate related engagements and asset management mandates. He began his fixed income career at Barclays 25 years ago and progressed through roles of increasing responsibility at Dresdner Kleinwort and Credit Suisse, before joining Pine River Capital Management in 2009. He was a senior mortgage investment professional for Pine River, and its mortgage REIT Two Harbors, until 2021. He holds a BBA from Baruch and an MBA from Columbia University.

Heather Barlow
Managing Director
Heather Barlow serves as a managing director and co-lead in some of Dundon’s major mass tort bankruptcy cases. Select recent case work includes FA roles for the Mallinckrodt UCC, where she is the appointed MNK General Unsecured Claims Trustee, ENDO UCC, Archdiocese of New Orleans CCC, and TPC UCC. She is a valuation expert, recently speaking at the May 2022 ValCon panel on Hot Topics on Valuation in bankruptcy. She is a veteran restructuring advisor, acting for creditors, lenders and debtors in large and midsize complex restructuring matters as well as serving in independent director capacities. She has previously worked as an investment banker (at firms such as CIBC World Markets and Chase Manhattan Bank) where she earned her Series 24, 79, 63 and 7 (licenses now lapsed) and as an asset manager and credit research professional (at Harbert Management Corporation). She earned both her B.A. and M.P.A. from New York University.

Mr. Cashel has over 20 years of experience advising distressed entities, lender groups, and unsecured creditors' committees on the preparation and analysis of business plans, cash flow projections, restructuring programs, and proposed sale transactions. Mr. Cashel also has extensive experience in providing litigation support and expert witness services related to preferential transfers, solvency and fraudulent conveyances, claims litigation, and plan feasibility disputes. Eric Reubel

He joined the firm from a senior restructuring investment banking role at the Miller Buckfire unit of Stifel, and previously was a senior high yield and convertible bond analyst focused on technology issuers at predecessors of Stifel and INTL FC Stone Credit. Romeo Reyes
Managing Director
Mr. Reyes has spent his career as an investment banker, leveraged finance research analyst and trusted advisor to media and communications companies and their investors. In those roles he has amassed three decades of experience and insight into how strategic investors, private equity firms and the capital markets assess and value enterprises in the space. In addition, Mr. Reyes brings forth a unique perspective on how to optimize leveraged capital structures due to his extensive experience providing credit research to global institutional debt providers. Mr. Reyes’ experience includes providing advisory work, raising institutional debt and producing institutional research coverage of wireless, cable television, fiber, data center and satellite communications companies across a number of geographies including North America, The United Kingdom, Asia and Latin America. Mr. Reyes has been intricately involved in the diligence, distribution and post-pricing support for approximately 70 TMT companies with a transaction volume exceeding $20 billion. Most recently, Mr. Reyes served as CFO of Endurance Acquisition Corp., A SPAC which successfully merged with Israel-based Satixfy Communications, a fabless chipset manufacturer focused on satellite communications. In the finance world, Mr. Reyes spent the bulk of his career at Jefferies LLC, where, over his 19-year tenure, he held leadership positions, including Americas Head of Communications, Cable & Satellites Investment Banking, Director of Leveraged Finance Research and Senior TMT Credit Analyst. Prior to Jefferies, Mr. Reyes held similar roles at UBS, Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs.

Abraham Wickelgren advises Dundon clients on antirust matters. He is also the Bernard J. Ward Centennial Professor at the University of Texas Law School. He is the co-editor of the American Law and Economics Review, has been on the editorial boards of the Journal of Industrial Economics and the International Review of Law and Economics and is a former member of the board of directors of the American Law and Economics Association. Mr. Wickelgren received an A.B. from Harvard College, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. Mr. Wickelgren was an assistant professor at Northwestern and has been a visiting professor at Duke and Yale.
